Oversize, Overweight Shipments

Truck Ship items
- these have to be shipped by special carrier instead of our normal ground shipping methods and are denoted on our site as
'Truck Ship'

Orders with Aggregate Weight Exceeding 100 lbs. Incur Surcharges
If your order exceeds the 100 lb. limit, Customer Service will contact you within a business day of receiving your order to provide you with an actual quote for your total shipping charges that includes the weight-related surcharges. As noted in our ground shipping terms, these orders are not eligible for free ground shipping.
Orders from 100 to 300 lbs. are assessed an overage charge above our standard ground shipping rates. The overage charges vary based on an individual order's parameters so the shopping cart's shipping calculator can not

Drop Ship/Manufacturer Direct Items
Drop ship items are shipped directly to your destination from the source, whether that it is one of our factories or a vendor's factory or warehouse. Additional shipping charges apply and will be applied in the checkout process. Drop shipments typically take 2 weeks for delivery. Exceptions will be noted in the product description.
Please contact our Customer Service Department at 1-800-223-9132, if you have any questions regarding a drop ship item. Canceling of a drop ship item once the order is received, will be assessed a restocking fee and shipping charges will not be refunded.
Changing or Returning Drop Ship Orders
Please contact our Customer Service Department if you prefer to process any changes or return a drop ship item. Our Customer Service Department would be happy to contact the vendor to notify them of the return and provide a return authorization number. Returns due to customer ordering error are the responsibility of the customer to return directly to the vendor with the return authorization number. The shipping charges will not be refunded or reimbursed. A restocking fee will apply.

Drop Ship Items that Ship By Freight:
A small number of products ship from the source, i.e. they are 'Drop Ship' items, and have to ship by freight instead of a parcel carrier. This is usually due to the size or weight of the item. Those items are marked online as both 'Drop Ship' and Truck Ship' items.
Like a regular 'Drop Ship' item, an additional shipping charge applies. Unlike a regular Drop Ship item, the amount of that charge varies per customer. Like the 'Truck Ship' items that ship from our warehouse, the freight charge is based on the shipping destination. Customer Service will contact you with your actual charges. In the shopping cart, an ESTIMATED freight charge for these items will be added to your shipping charge. This amount is based on typical freight shipments in our industry and is ONLY AN ESTIMATE intended to provide you with some idea of what your freight charges will be.

Back Ordered Items Policy
Out of stock items that ship from our warehouse are labeled

items, as long as the sum total amount of those items is $10.00 or more, those items will be shipped to you via our regular ground carrier, FedEX SmartPost, immediately once they are back in stock. FedEX's SmartPost is a ground delivery service in which FedEx delivers your shipment to the local post office that services your shipping destination and then the postal service delivers your shipment to its final destination.
If the sum total of your
Back Order
items is less than $10.00, e.g. you have 3 pencils on back order that cost $.89 each, those items are automatically cancelled and removed from your order when the in-stock items are processed for shipment. Orders for class lists from our
Class List Program for Students
are the only exception to the item cancellation part of the policy. Backordered items are invoiced
when they ship
, not when the in-stock portion of your order is shipped and invoiced. Your purchase receipt shows your total order amount including the backordered items.
Shipping Outside the 48 Contiguous States
Alaska, Hawaii, Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico Orders:
Utrecht offers delivery by United States Postal Service (USPS). Free shipping offers do not apply to orders shipping to Alaska, Hawaii, Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico. USPS shipments cannot exceed 70 lbs. per package. We can not ship flammable items or expedite USPS shipments.
Orders containing boxes measuring 18 x 24 or larger will be charged an oversize shipping charge,
plus
any applicable shipping charges associated with the remaining items. Customer Service will contact you to authorize those charges in advance of shipment.
Canadian Orders:
We can only ship items labeled with a
"NAFTA"
designation to Canada. If your order contains items that are not part of the NAFTA agreement we will contact you by email. Eligible shipments will be delivered by FedEx. Free shipping offers do not apply to orders shipping to Canada.We can not ship flammable items or expedite Canadian shipments. Customer Service will contact you to authorize additional charges in advance of shipment. Additional taxes and duties may apply. Delays are common when shipping to Canada due to customs and duty review.
International Shipments:
Utrecht ships via FedEx International to most destinations around the world. Please contact our Customer Service Department at 1-800-223-9132 or 1-609-409-8001 to place your order. Upon receiving your order, Utrecht's Customer Service department will contact you by email to inform you of the shipping and handling fees. Any additional taxes, duties, and customs fees charged for International delivery are not the responsibility of Utrecht. These cannot be established before shipping. We are unable to remove pricing from documents as the correct value must be shown.
Backordered items may incur an additional shipping charge. Utrecht does not accept International credit cards. Free shipping promotions do not apply to international shipments. Hazardous and flammable items can not ship via FedEx International. A phone number is required for delivery.
FPO/APO Shipments:
Utrecht ships via USPS to an APO/FPO. Please contact our Customer Service Department for a freight quote. Utrecht does not offer free shipping and expedited shipping options to an APO/FPO. Backordered items may incur an additional shipping charge. We can not ship flammable items to an APO/FPO.
